The Health Care Complaints Commission currently has three operational Divisions, a small Corporate Services Unit and an Executive Unit. The Commissioner, Mr Kieran Pehm was appointed to the position on 29 June 2005, by the Governor of New South Wales for a five-year term. The Commission was re-appointed by the Governor of NSW for his second five-year term on 29 June 2010.
The Commission’s services are complemented by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, which provides personnel services to the Health Care Complaints Commission.
