Professional Standards Committee hearings conducted by the Medical Council of NSW are generally held in public. Published decisions of the Medical Professional Standards Committees from 1 October 2008 onwards are available on the website of the Medical Council of NSW's website.

Matters that the Commission refers to the Nursing and Midwifery Professional Standards Committee after 1 July 2010, will also generally be heard in public. Decisions of these hearings will generally be publicly available.
