David Anthony Fox – deregistered for three years
Today, the NSW Medical Tribunal found David Anthony Fox, a general practitioner, guilty of professional misconduct and ordered that he be deregistered. Mr Fox will not be able to apply for re-registration for a period of three years.

Ewa Zahorowska – suspended and conditions imposed
The Health Care Complaints Commission recently prosecuted two complaints against Ms Ewa Zahorowska, a registered nurse, before the NSW Nurses and Midwives Tribunal. On 15 December, the NSW Nurses and Midwives Tribunal suspended Ms Zahorowska, a registered nurse, for a period of 18 months and imposed conditions upon her when she returns to work as registered nurse after the period of suspension.

Graeme John Harris – deregistered for seven years
The Health Care Complaints Commission recently prosecuted three complaints against Mr Graeme John Harris, a general practitioner, before the NSW Medical Tribunal. The Tribunal found the Mr Harris was guilty of professional misconduct and not of good character and ordered his deregistration. He will not be able to apply for re-registration for at least seven years.

Mark Fairbrother – deregistered for two years
The Health Care Complaints Commission recently prosecuted Mark Fairbrother, a general practitioner, before the NSW Medical Tribunal. The prosecution was in relation to Mr Fairbrother’s inappropriate personal relationship, and sexual relationship with a patient. Today, the Tribunal found him guilty of professional misconduct and deregistered Mr Fairbrother. He will not be able to apply for reregistration for at least two years.

Dr Martyn Mendelsohn - deregistered for two years
Today, the NSW Medical Tribunal ordered Dr Martyn Mendelsohn, an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon, to be deregistered for a period of at least two years starting 29 December 2008.

Conditions imposed on medical registration of Dr Wafa Samen
The NSW Medical Tribunal recently found Dr Wafa Samen, an obstetrician and gynaecologist, guilty of professional misconduct. It also found that Dr Samen suffers from impairment in that she is addicted to a deleterious drug and that she continues to suffer from this impairment despite evidence of recovery in part. The Tribunal imposed the following conditions on Dr Samen’s registration:

Media release in relation to David Charles Lindsay
On 20 August 2008, the Medical Tribunal deregistered Dr David Lindsay, a general practitioner in a skin cancer practice. The Tribunal found Dr Lindsay guilty of professional misconduct. His name was removed from the medical register and he will not be able to apply for re-registration for at least three years.

Dr Marcus Stoodley reprimanded for professional misconduct
The NSW Medical Tribunal handed down its decision in the matter of Dr Marcus Stoodley, a neurosurgeon, on 5 November 2008. The Tribunal found Dr Stoodley guilty of professional misconduct and ordered that he be reprimanded.

Dr Arthur Garry Gow – conditions imposed on registration
The NSW Medical Tribunal handed down its decision in the matter of Dr Arthur Garry Gow on 21 October 2008. The Tribunal found that the conduct did amount to professional misconduct and ordered a number of conditions be placed on Dr Gow's registration including that he not prescribe Schedule 8 drugs of addiction for a period of two years.

Mr Gavin Cox – name removed from roll of Nurses for one year
In its decision of 17 October 2008, the Nurses and Midwives Tribunal ordered the name of Mr Gavin Cox be removed from the roll of Nurses in NSW and that he no re-apply to be re-enrolled for at least one year.
