UDPATED MEDIA RELEASE - Dr Julie Epstein - Reprimanded and Conditions imposed by Tribunal
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Dr Julie Epstein, a general physician, before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. The prosecution concerned Dr Epstein’s conduct as a solo practitioner at Moore Park for the period 2007 – 2009.

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE Dr Michael Quach – Finding of unsatisfactory professional conduct, professional misconduct, impairment & lack of competence. Stage 2 decision, Registration cancelled for 7 years
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Dr Michael Quach, a general practitioner who practiced in Sydney and the ACT, before the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal. The prosecution related to Dr Quach’s care and treatment of patients between 2007 and 2012 in Sydney. The complaint included that Dr Quach suffered from an impairment, namely narcissistic personality disorder and that he lacked competency to practice medicine because he does not have sufficient mental capacity.

The Commission prosecuted a Complaint against Dr John William Follent before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal alleging that Dr Follent had engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct and professional misconduct.

Dr Nancy Fayez-Iskander - unsatisfactory professional conduct and professional misconduct proved - conditions imposed
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Dr Nancy Fayez-Iskander (Dr Iskander), a medical practitioner, before the New South Wales Civil & Administrative Tribunal. At the time of the hearing, Dr Iskander’s registration was suspended following a section 150 hearing in 2013.

The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Mr Darryl Dewar, a former registered psychologist, before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. The prosecution related to Mr Dewar’s failure to observe proper professional boundaries towards a patient.

The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Dr Kon Hwa Peter Low, a general practitioner, before the New South Wales Civil & Administrative Tribunal. The prosecution concerned prescribing of addictive drugs (including Oxycontin) and Prescribed Restricted Drugs (Benzodiazepines) to patients (some of whom were drug dependent) and failure to keep adequate patient records.
