Ms Amity Kim Parsons – registration cancelled
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Ms Amity Parsons, an enrolled nurse, before the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal. The prosecution was in relation to Ms Parsons’ criminal convictions which included obtaining property by deception, common assault and driving with a suspended licence.

Court of Appeal orders that Dr Do be disqualified from being registered as a medical practitioner for a period of 18 months.

Dr Kadandelea Prakash Shetty – reprimanded and conditions placed on registration
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Dr Kadandelea Prakash Shetty, a 69 year old solo general practitioner, before a Professional Standards Committee. The prosecution related to Dr Shetty failing to assess and properly diagnose a female patient for nine days, while her condition deteriorated.

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE - Graham Holbrook - deregistered by Psychologists Tribunal
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted a psychologist, Mr Graham Holbrook, before the Psychologists Tribunal of NSW. The complaints related to Mr Graham’s conduct in relation to students and staff whilst he was working as a school counsellor between 2002 and 2006.

Mr Kerry Berry - prohibited from practicing as a counsellor
The NSW Health Care Complaints Commission has completed its investigation into a complaint concerning the conduct of a Mr Kerry Berry, a Chaplain/workplace counsellor. The Commission determined that Mr Berry has breached the NSW Code of Conduct for Unregistered Practitioners and that his conduct poses a risk to the health and safety of members of the public.

Ms Bobbie Bergmeier - registration cancelled
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Ms Bergmeier a registered psychologist, before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. The prosecution related to Ms Bergmeier failing to maintain proper professional boundaries with Client A, who was her client at Junee Correctional Centre.

Dr Ching Kun Edmond Kwan – registration cancelled
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Dr Ching Kun Edmond Kwan, a general practitioner, before the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal. The prosecution related to prescribing of narcotic drugs to a female patient between January 2009 and November 2010. The complaint also alleged that Dr Kwan failed to observe proper professional boundaries in his care of the patient including providing an excessive number of consultations and home visits and providing non medical services to the patient.
