Following the recent findings by the Dental Tribunal of NSW that Dr George Pegios was guilty of professional misconduct, the Tribunal will be hearing evidence and submissions about the orders that it should make to protect the public health and safety. Today, Dr Pegios applied for an adjournment of the proceedings, and the Tribunal granted an adjournment until 10.00am on Thursday, 29 October 2009. The Commission applied for an interim order that Dr Pegios should be suspended from practising pending the Tribunal's final orders. The Tribunal decided to suspend Dr Pegios with immediate effect on this basis.
