The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Dr Douglas Stewart, a dental practitioner before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (“NCAT”) in relation to breaching conditions on his registration by consuming alcohol after leaving his place of work and/or at his place of work, and by being intoxicated at work. The complaints alleged unsatisfactory professional conduct, professional misconduct and/or that Dr Stewart suffers from an impairment.

Mr Leslie Mortlock - disqualified and prohibited from providing health services
The Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Mr Leslie Mortlock, an enrolled nurse, before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (“the Tribunal”) in relation a sexual relationship he had with a 16 year old former patient. The Complaint also concerned Mr Mortlock accessing patient records without authorisation and communicating through Facebook with another patient and her younger sister.
