New simplified fact sheet released

20 July 2010

The Commission has released a new factsheet for people with low literacy levels and people with intellectual disability.

The fact sheet 'Not happy with your doctor?' provides information on what people can do when they are unhappy with the health service that was provided to them or their family. The fact sheet uses simple English and illustrations to show the different options people have to raise their concerns.

The Commission would like to thank the NSW Council for Intellectual Disability and the members of the reference group for their input and advice in developing this resource.

The NSW Council for Intellectual Disability has developed a range of health related fact sheet and information resources specifically for people with intellectual disability. These are available on the Council’s website.
