Webinar about 'Mandatory reporting - What? When? How?'
The Health Care Complaints Commission runs bi-monthly webinars on a range of issues that are often raised in complaints using case studies and offering a platform to ask questions. Health practitiners, health administrators and employers are invited to join our next webinar on Wednesday, 22 May 2013 at 12.00pm – 12.30pm.
Kieran Pehm, the Commissioner of the Health Care Complaints Commission, will talk about 'Mandatory reporting - What? When? How?'.
All registered health practitioners have the obligation to report certain conduct of other registered practitioners to the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). In NSW, these mandatory notifications are deemed to be a complaint and are being dealt with by the Health Care Complaint Commission. The Commissioner will give an overview of what must be reported, by whom, how and what happens after a notification has been made. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
