Mr Noel Matthew Glyde - Counsellor - Permanent Prohibition Order

The Health Care Complaints Commission (Commission) investigated a complaint concerning Mr Noel Matthew Glyde, an unregistered health practitioner and school counsellor.

On 13 August 2020, NSW Police charged Mr Glyde with four counts of Common assault pursuant to Section 61 Crimes Act 1900. Two of the four offences involved Mr Glyde hitting two students on multiple occasions with a ruler between 2017-2018.

On 17 December 2020, Mr Glyde pleaded guilty to two counts of Common Assault and was fined $750 for each count and sentenced to a community corrections order for 12 months commencing 17 December 2020 concluding on 16 December 2021.

Accordingly, the Commission has permanently prohibited Mr Glyde from providing any health services in any capacity.
