Ms Guirong Xing (Lucy), Massage Therapist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner
15 June 2022
The NSW Health Care Complaints Commission conducted an investigation into the conduct of Ms Guirong Xing (Lucy). The Commission’s investigation found that Ms Xing misrepresented herself as being appropriately qualified to provide dry needling services when she did not have the appropriate qualifications to do so.
Ms Xing used fraudulent qualifications to mislead the public into believing she was appropriately qualified to provide dry needling services.
Ms Xing’s conduct was motivated by personal gain and was in total disregard for the health and wellbeing of her patients.
The Commission is satisfied that Ms Xing poses a risk to the health and safety of members of the public.
Accordingly, the Commission has made a prohibition order against Ms Xing in the following terms:
Ms Guirong Xing (Lucy), a Massage Therapist, is permanently prohibited from providing any dry needling services or acupuncture, either in paid employment or voluntarily, to any member of the public.
Ms Xing is also prohibited from representing to any person or organisation that she is qualified to provide dry needling services or acupuncture in Australia.
