Mr Matthew Scott Pratt – Disability Support Worker

The Commission makes the following prohibition order under section 41A(2) of the Health Care Complaints Act 1993:
Mr Matthew Pratt, disability support worker, is prohibited under any circumstances, to provide, or cause to be provided, any health services in an aged care facility or disability environment, either in paid employment or voluntarily, to any member of the public.
This order will remain in place until Mr Pratt:
- Can satisfy the Commission that he has reflected on his practice;
- Can satisfy the Commission that he has completed an appropriate training course in the provision of care and treatment for persons with intellectual and physical disabilities. The course must have a formal Assessment component;
- Has received the written approval of the Commission to recommence employment.
For the purposes of this order 'a health service' carries the same meaning as defined under section 4 of the Health Care Complaints Acts 1993.
