The Health Care Complaints Commission makes the following interim prohibition order under section 41AA of the Health Care Complaints Act 1993 (Act):
Mr Brendan Russell:

Must not provide any health services, including medical services, whether provided as part of paid or voluntary services. Medical services include any type of minor or major surgery, whether carried out for medical, cosmetic or other purposes.

Must not provide any health education services. Health education services includes training or instructing others in the provision of medical or other health services.
For the purposes of this order 'a health service' carries the same meaning as defined under section 4 of the Act.
The Commission has previously made Interim Prohibition Orders against Mr Russell in the terms outlined above for consecutive periods of 8 weeks, first commencing on 19 October 2021. This current order is effective for a further period of 8 weeks from 22 March 2022.
